PT. Mandiri Palmera Agrindo collaborated with PT. Antares in fulfilling hydroseeding materials. Hydroseeding is a planting method by mixing plant seeds and formulation nutrients with water, then spread the formulation on the surface of the land. This hydroseeding technique used by mining companies in Indonesia to fulfilling their obligations to revegetate ex-mining land.

This project happened on August 2021 to February 2022, support by PT. Antares to PT. Wijaya Karya and PT Nindya Karya for the dam project in Manado.

Palmmesh, one of the innovative products from PT. Mandiri Palmera Agrindo is a geotextile net that comes from empty fruit bunch fibers (EFB) so it can decompose naturally. Palmesh is used as a planting medium because it helps the growth of new plants which can strengthen the soil structure.

Palmmesh is installed on the clifs of ex-mining rocks, the structure of palmmesh make the seeds from hydroseeding can grow evenly and structured on the palmmesh media. Strong plant roots will ultimately protect the cliff from erosion.

With the support of this project, PT. Mandiri Palmera Agrindo hopes that innovative palm oil waste products can be useful in improving the environment in Indonesia
